valid urls can make the app crash #36

e.g. http://nlesc.github.io/eEcology-Annotation-UI/demo/demo.html?id=355&start=2010-06-28T10%3A00%3A00.000Z&end=2010-06-28T11%3A30%3A00.000Z; workaround is to clear the browser cache, then enter the url

I'm not able to reproduce this error currently. Maybe it was just due to slowness of the database in serving up the annotated data? Assuming that's the case, then this issue is no longer an issue, because we now use a demo without annotations. Closing for now
