WP1: Verify/Benchmark FINE py2

Reproduce omri et al. w/ FINE py2 and simulation generator

Identified the modules that provide the functionality to reproduce Figure 2 and 3 of the paper Omri et al. 2020. Scripts to generate the figures are made available in the FINE repository. The functionality to generate such figures is currently missing from the FINE code, since this is lacking:

• the capability to generate synthetic data using the analytical model based on trigonometric functions on the hypersphere, as discussed in the paper (the module to generate data currently generates random points in a sub-space).
• the implementation of a cosine distance metric.
• an analogous method to aggregate distances between probability distributions, as required to calculate distances between groups. FINE currently implement sum, average or RMS, but the method likely used to generate the figures is arccos(sum(distances)).
