Currently the SURFEX python scripts have been provided to the project team by a collaborator at Meteo-France. The oral permission to make use of these is insufficient to provide them in a repository in any fashion. To remedy this, they would need to have a license. Having looked at the licensing policy of SURFEX (CECILL-C), asking the author to provide the scripts under this license seems most feasible.
