This is a simple observation denial experiment:

One cycle of ADT OSE ran at /work/noaa/marine/Hyun-Chul.Lee/emc_ref2_noadt/ All ADT are to be passivated, and please check it, and let me know.

In my view there is little impacts of the ADT to the SST analysis in the current configurations. A summary can be found in https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ggCb_h1tLJKGyY7CHJ0yRwHfXVWjqYAoMMAj2hwz8rQ/edit#slide=id.p

@hyunchul386 how is that a summary? What slides should I be looking at?

guillaumevernieres commented 1 year ago

@hyunchul386 , since you have the adt passive in your data denial experiments, why not show the differences in obs space?

hyunchul386 commented 1 year ago

@Guillaume Vernieres - NOAA Federal @.***>, the summary can be found in the slide 48 ~ 58. The Summary slide is added at #58, which showed there is little impact of ADT to SST analysis. The difference of obs space analysis between w/ and w/o ADT may confirm that all ADT obs in the ref_noadt are passive. Also, it can be shown that the response of the ADT assimilation in comparison to no ADT assimilation.
