The bullet points resulted in typos being fixed in metarSpeci and common schema files. Thus, these versions were incremented from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2. The affected METAR/SPECI example were updated to remove the superfluous 's' from the URLs.
Periodic review of documentation revealed several typos in complex types associated with NWS Code List vocabularies affecting the UML model (1), the resulting schema (2), NWS Code Registry (3) and NGITWS metarSpeci encoder (4):
StatisticallyProcessedWeatherElement type -- Vocabulary URL changed from https://codes.nws.noaa.gov/FMH-1/StatisticallyProcessedWeatherElements to https://codes.nws.noaa.gov/FMH-1/StatisticallyProcessedWeatherElement (trailing 's' removed) (affects 1, 2, 3, 4) -- Request that SNOWFALLRATE concept be changed to just SNOW (affects 3, 4)
ConvectiveCloudType -- Vocabulary URL changed from https://codes.nws.noaa.gov/FMH-1/ConvectionCloudTypes to https://codes.nws.noaa.gov/FMH-1/ConvectiveCloudType (trailing 's') removed and 'on' to 've'. (affects 1, 2)
SensorType -- Vocabulary URL changed from https://codes.nws.noaa.gov/FMH-1/Sensors to https://codes.nws.noaa.gov/FMH-1/Sensor (trailing 's' removed) (affects 1, 2)
All URL References to WMO Code Registry -- https protocol changed to http (affects 1, 2)
IWXXM-US metarSpeci schema versioning would increment from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 as these are typos, not breaking changes nor addition of new content.
If not approved, the inconsistencies between schema and current NGITWS production of IWXXM-US METARs and SPECIs result in some URLs not resolving. (There is no schematron rules for checking references to code lists)
