From Fred's comments in the Readme: the skin temperature of the earth's surface, TODO: should come from another module to calc. soil or veg. temp.

One possibility is Noah-MP-Surface, which produces TG, or ground temperature, in Kelvin. It's not currently an output var, but could easily be modified to be one.
