Looking into this today.
Verifying that Alaska is HRRR-AK forced, and is only out to 15 hours. Although it updates every 3 hours, the 15 hour forecasts are updated on the 6 hour cycle:
"Alaska Short Range" ..."Forced with meteorological data from the HRRR-AK and NBM, the Short Range Forecast configuration cycles every three hours and produces hourly deterministic forecasts of streamflow and hydrologic states out to 15-hours (0/6/12/18Z cycles) and 45-hours (3/9/15/21Z cycles). "
I'm updating the product description to reflect this and also removing the 18 hour layer from the map service.
In verifying everything with Brian Cosgrove, it looks like HRRR is used to force the non-precipitation output, so I am changing the service description instead to read "1- and 6-hour accumulated NBM"
"Depicts expected accumulated precipitation totals over the next 15 hours derived from the 1- and 6-hour accumulated NBM forcing for the operational National Water Model (NWM) short-range forecast for the state of Alaska. Updated every 6 hours."

This service says 15 Hours, but has Accumulated Precip going to 18 hours. It also says from the NAM-NEST is this correct? Not from the HRRR Model? Wondering if we should name 18 Hour Precip Accum and in description change it to HRRR, only 15 hours used in forecasting (Hour 3 - Hour 18), and that it updates every 3 hours not 12 hours.
Would like to get this into 2.1.7 so high priority Monday if possible.
