web server unavailable #329

Good morning,

I was trying to access the https://wres.nwc.nws.noaa.gov/ website and it says 503 service unavailable. Same issue when trying to run a program in awips. Was wondering if you knew how long it may be down?

Hi Anna,

It looks like the COWRES proxy is down. The backend service is up and running fine, but the proxy is needed for external access. We'll attempt to restart the proxy and provide an update here shortly. Apologies for the hassle - we'll let you know!

We were unable to start the service proxy, ourselves. We've posted a ticket to ITSG asking that the bring back up the proxy and letting them know its urgent (at least from our perspective). We'll let you know when the service is back.

Hi Anna,

The service is back up and running again as of ~10pm UTC (6pm EDT, 5pm CDT) yesterday evening.
