Make it possible to request arbitrary collections of platforms #527

Reported by steven.c.hankin on 10 Jun 2008 20:08 UTC The use of a single-select menu currently restricts users to All Platforms or one single platform. It would be desirable for users to be able to select arbitrary combinations of platforms.

A thought regarding the implementation (take or leave): overall performance might be best if multi-platform requests were handled in the Ferret script, where the intermediate netCDF file contained the results of All Platforms. (Depending on what should be done about multiple ownership of platforms ...)
