Check and update our 'list of operational servers'

do not work; servers are gone, or very old v5.1 and v4 servers (!) refuse to work with current Firevox browser. I did not try them all; we should run through them and clean up this list.

This list has only a couple of servers running v7+, and many, many that are no longer alive. It makes it look as if LAS is stuck in a backwater, but that's just because the page is so outdated.

Could we all take a glance at these, and let me know if the project still runs an LAS, and if so where I can find it? I was able to track down a few obvious corrections to addresses, but others are probably still around under another umbrella. And point me to LAS's being run by current partners?

Comment by @noaaroland on 15 Jul 2011 14:55 UTC I checked through the list and I don't see any sites where I can offer any answers about their current state except to say that AVISO appears to be working on a new LAS release for July 2011.

I sent out a request on the mailing list to hear from sites that have V7 installations. If we get a decent response I propose we cull the list to only v7 sites.

Comment by @AnsleyManke on 22 Jul 2011 18:50 UTC I'm handing this to Roland as the LAS documentation curator - I think that we might just get rid of the long list for now while we gather a new list of v7 servers. We still have a short list on the main LAS page of operational servers.
