Making the SDIS HDT system available to NCEI? #37

Hi Linus,

I heard that the SDIS is maintaining a help desk ticket system documenting all of the submissions, is that correct?

Would you please consider making the SDIS help desk ticket system available to the Data Content Managers at NCEI, specifically, Alex Kozyr and Errol Ronje.

Hi Liqing,

There is no such thing.

I do send emails (generally to myself) when packages are submitted and when there archival status changes. I would be happy to add them to the list of recipients for those messages. At one point, I was sending the new package submission emails to an NCEI email group, but I think someone objected to that.

One issue is that occasionally there are test and/or demo submissions. I do not yet have a way to control whether or not emails would be sent in those circumstances.

Not really. We'll rely on John's program to get notified for such submissions. Let me mark this issue as resolved.
