adding option for 4.2.2 #150

@jasontempestholt I haven't finished the update to 4.2.2 yet - hence the draft PR. I ran out of time on Thursday. Glad you had a chance to test - that was on my list to do this morning! Will let you know when I'm happy with the branch and you can finalise the review.

All runs fine for me on a fresh clone. Run 2.5 yrs in a 12hr job on 19 nodes. Minor niggle - needs a /INPUTS-4.2.2/ directory (or symlink) on archer

symlink now in place

OK - all looks good from my end. namelist and runscript updated. Happy for you (@jasontempestholt ) to do the final check and we can merge!
