NB even if there is vertical interpolation onto the new grid, using ln_zinterp in NEMO nambdy will allow interpolation at runtime.

Prior to coding up my own implementation (#163 and #159), I tried using the stale branch associated with this issue, but it didn't seem to work.

I forgot this existed :( I will look over the details - I probably didn't push the final code - and consolidate with comments on #163
