[Bug]: strange terrain generation #319

Open SeemsLegit1 opened 2 weeks ago

SeemsLegit1 commented 2 weeks ago

What happened?

Strange behavior of the terrain generator (plain straight river with nonsense "islands" in the middle, water not reaching the shore properly, some "sawtooth" borders of the mountains/hills...)

Attach your screenshots

How did it happen?

generator issues (?)

What are your performances on Menyr?

Which version of Menyr are you using ?

Water flow system for the river is not yet fully implemented hence the weird river flow. For the other might be a glitch issue. If you render with higher resolution it might disappear (or not)

well i'm already at 1920x1080 + cinematic quality (even if it's quite strange that with an RTX 3060 goes at 5-20 fps), but the glitch is still present. I may add that there're even some (very rare) cases of triangular glithes in the terrain generation too. Also I have to be careful rendering at high resolution/quality 'cause the game slows down in a REALLY noticeable way...on a ryzen 7/8gb ram i should not have too many problems on this matter (maybe?!)

EDIT: i retried rendering at a GROUND DEFINITION 4sm, havent' found any noticeable glitch anymore, but i don't think it's intended to have glitches even at 9sm

For the FPS issue, try to narrow down the MAX FPS in Menyr video settings. The more you have, the more your graphics card try to used and at the end it get slow :) For the glitch, it's still happen from time to time, i let Menyr answer about this but i think it will be improve the more we are close to the release :)
