After discussions with @WDunsford & @dul-isl we concluded that the SNAP distribution that had been placed on the NRC site was damaged in transmission. I confirmed this and was able to transfer an undamaged distribution using non-NRC "scanned" methods.
Be warned, NRC users! The NRC network scanners have modified zip file contents for security reasons, but not informed the downloader of the modifications!
I see that SNAP 4.1.0 is available but the release notes don't indicate that this is a major release (other than the change in ownership). However, whenever users at the NRC tried to update to the TRACE 4.5.2 plugin it would not install indicating that it was not compatible.
I tried to update to SNAP 4.1.0, but the AWS Batch and Git plugins are NOT compatible with 4.1.0! NRC users who are using the TRACE 4.5.2 plugin are now trying to share models with users constrained to TRACE 4.5.1; now the SNAP 4.0.4 users can't proceed with their work!
I there a way to convert the 4.5.2 models back to 4.5.1 ?
@dbarber-islinc We need to discuss how to provide NRC users the custom plugins we require at the NRC. I have a process, but we will need to coordinate.
