structure format default #331

So it was requested that we default the structure format field to dip direction instead of right hand rule. What do you think Gab?

It's fine, we can adapt the picklist, but the user can also set it as default in his fieldbook with the picklist editor.

A few years back I was told right-hand rule was the main thing, but we can change it.

Yes I say set dip direction as default. In university I always did right hand rule but at the GSC with Carol and Bob A, I always did dip direction. Looks like jim and Nathan do as well.

@jameljoseph everyone that I asked this about tells me right-hand rule should be the default. I guess there is more people wanting right-hand rule then dip dip. And, anyway it's something they can setup pre-field quite easily.

@jameljoseph from a quick check in the archive, there is 2% of usage for dip dip. Something like 3000 structures out of 140 000.
