we'll need to put some thought into what colors to use so the model is accessible for color blind users

other options: bold face, changing font size, changing font, putting a special border around parameter names (if possible in Vensim)

using color to indicate inputs
using bold font face to indicate recommended parameters and regular font face to indicate optional parameters

distinguishing exogenous from decision-making parameters might be difficult, because almost all the parameters are decisions made by a potential BTD user
