Currently, ComStock (by way of openstudio-standards runs the simulation for sizing periods. Check the EnergyPlus documentation to confirm that this won't change sizing results. Also, it might be possible to reduce the simulation time further by changing this field to only run if/when necessary, which appears to be only when some types of plant loop sizing settings are used.
