Run files not being updated with successive run results #144

Run files are not being updated with successive runs, neither in "Single Input File" mode, nor "Group of Input Files". Updated run files are written as temporary files (e.g., HotelLarge.err), but the corresponding run files which reflect the IDF filename are left unchaged (i.e., not updated). Note the timestamps in the screen shot.

This is particularly troublesome for Group of Input Files because I don't get results from each run since only a single temporary run file is saved. Capture Capture2

It could be a path length issue. Please try the same test on a short local path.

Hi Mike, sorry for the delay. I have some time today to test an alternate theory. It seems that a non-breaking space was used in some of the filenames and that was at least causing another program I wrote to choke on processing the results files. So, it could be that EP-Launch is having a similar issue. I’ll let you know how that turns out.

FYI, the non-breaking space came from a cut/paste from an Excel spreadsheet cell. In the back of my mind I knew that was slightly risky, but I didn’t pay attention to my Spidey sense. Don’t know if you all want to error handle cases where filenames have strange characters in them, but I can see others being as non-careful as I.

Hi Mike, so far it does look like the issue was with the non-breaking space in the filename. I’ll let you know if that changes, but otherwise I’d be satisfied with closing this as an issue.
