EnergyPlus™ is a whole building energy simulation program that engineers, architects, and researchers use to model both energy consumption and water use in buildings.
The boilers.idf DataSet file contains some example performance curves for boilers. The curves do not appear to be normalized so that they are 1.0 at full load and (when applicable) at the rating temperature. None of them are 1.0 at PLR=1.0 and one of the logical rating temperatures. The condensing efficiency goes up beyond 1.0 at part load which may not be physically possible. The curves that are only a function of PLR are not 1.0 at PLR=1.0 but instead 0.81 to 0.85 depending on the curve.
In addition, the boiler:hotwater object has two options for the temperatures for use with the performance curves, either entering or leaving temperature, and it is not clear which is appropriate to use with the performance curves in that file.
