GSHP sizing is currently not available. I would like to see this allowed for GroundHeatExchanger:Vertical. Some version could also be implemented for GroundHeatExchanger:Pond, GroundHeatExchanger:Surface, GroundHeatExchanger:HorizontalTrench, GroundHeatExchanger:Slinky.

Using the example of GroundHeatExchanger:Vertical, the following fields should be autosizable:

design flow rate number of bore holes

Bore hole length, radius, and ground properties would still need to be defined.

This issue is related to Issue 6651. A related PR seeks to provide EnergyPlus with enhanced g-function calculation (both more accurate and faster).

Auto-sizing a GSHP may need to include both selection and sizing of a field. The following is a proposed new input that would be required:

Acceptable length x width x height (field geometry)
- Note: if this were not required, then the ideal situation would be to make a line of boreholes spaced far enough to make thermal interference essentially 0. There must be some kind of land constraint. This could simply be a maximum ratio of x:y, where 1:1 could force a square.
