I'm supportive of this feature. In cases such as parametric analysis with lots of simulations, it would be convenient to have a simple annual value of energy cost (for example, along with annual energy end uses) for ease of analysis and optimization of the results - at least that's my current use case. At the other end of the spectrum, being able to show hourly (for example) costs can be very powerful when explaining how rate structures impact energy costs - same for carbon factors.
The real time costs when using the UtilityCost:Tariff fields Real Time Pricing Charge Schedule Name and Customer Baseline Load Schedule Name are computed each timestep but not reported. Add output variables that appear in the ESO and CSV files that reflect the real time costs.
