README python code rendered with erroneous underlining #181

I recently noticed that the python code in the README is now formatted with every character underlined when viewed on GitHub, which is incorrect/buggy and impacts readability. I'm guessing that GitHub made a styling change that inadvertently clashes with RST rendering; we'll have to either figure out if GitHub is planning to fix this or we will have to tweak the README to work around.

This appears to be fixed now - presumably addressed by GitHub fixing their styling.
