OpenStudio is a cross-platform collection of software tools to support whole building energy modeling using EnergyPlus and advanced daylight analysis using Radiance.
[ ] Partial or full removal of extension gem model methods
[ ] Fixes and enhancements to logging.
Target date for this installer is 2/1/2024. Ruby may take a little longer. We can either hold off on installer or we can make installer without Ruby upgrade, and then role that in when ready
Most extension gem model methods have been pulled into standards. This will brake measures that use those methods until measures are updated. Method names and arguments have changed in many cases so it won't be as simple as swapping out the require. The few remaining model methods (and measure helper methods) will be added to C++ OpenStudio. We may leave these few methods in this installer if not yet in C++. This will avoid braking measures that use extension gem helper methods. Maybe better to rip it all off at once, but we'll have to see if that makes sense.
We will have meeting and flush out changes for logs.
