We still have Python 3.7 support enabled in bifacial_radiance, and numpy 1.22.0 has dropped py3.7 support. Python 3.7 end of life is 27 Jun 2023 so we have a choice to make here. I propose continuing 3.7 support and dropping this pull request.
Vulnerability Details : CVE-2021-34141 An incomplete string comparison in the numpy.core component in NumPy before 1.22.0 allows attackers to trigger slightly incorrect copying by constructing specific string objects. NOTE: the vendor states that this reported code behavior is "completely harmless."
I think we can safely ignore this one.
If we drop this automatic pull request, whenever someone enters our repository there is this warning about a vulnerability, and that causes panic in would-be users with all this 'AHhhhhhhhhh hackers are stealing my data and life' fear. I imagine even our IT would be suspicious about installing our software on new interns laptops with all their security expectations... idk, what do you think?
Closing this for now until Py3.7 deprecation on 27 June 2023. RemindMe! 10 months
OK, I won't notify you again about this release, but will get in touch when a new version is available. If you'd rather skip all updates until the next major or minor version, let me know by commenting @dependabot ignore this major version
or @dependabot ignore this minor version
.
If you change your mind, just re-open this PR and I'll resolve any conflicts on it.
Bumps numpy from 1.21.5 to 1.22.0.
