Professionalize GitHub workflow #4

Starting a list here on things to do to further professionalize how we interact with this template:

Things to do:

  1. Add GitHub Issues and Pull Requests template
  2. Add a develop branch similar to how we work in floris and flasc. It's worth considering if we want this, but probably it's good to have.
  3. Expand repository description
  4. Expand documentation and comments.

Please add to this list as you think makes sense.

Agree with all of this, @bayc and @rafmudaf helped me bring most of these things to FLASC and I think they'd help again if asked nicely?
