Archeology Survey issue #171

Reporter(Player/Character) Name: Seemstranger

Description: Describe the problem The detector (Survey) on the archeology gets bugged on certains digging sites , it keeps red till it takes you to the edge of the digging site and you can't use Survey anymore when you're out. Current behaviour: What happens It is always red and never changes colour. Expected behaviour: What should happen instead It should change colour to (Yellow-Green) according to how far are you from the fragment Steps to reproduce the problem:

  1. It is random not all digging sites
  2. i have 3 confirmed spots on Kalimdor : Ruins of constellas in Felwood , Ravenwind digsite in Ferelas , scroched Plain digsite in Hyjal)

This issue is already known, its have been here for a while. In the meanwhile please use the following workaround until we can get to this: When this happens to you, please go to the center of the area and try again.

Ok this issue has been known for long time, but last night there actually happend a bug with digging sites. https://imgur.com/a/WnVcL5p here is my situation. So basically i was doing digging and it was dragging me to the corner. Usually you would just get fragments when you are near corner if this happens ( which is pretty rare since almost all fragments are in the middle of the digging site) but randoms like this can happen if you are doing it alot. So to summerize my fragment was out of reach / digging site, it was not visual bugg nor anything else, i tryed different ways to approach and dig it but nothing works. In my second picture you can see in the middle of the screen "You can't use that here".

There is also a bugg in azhara/gurubashi arena area digging sites. it can spawn them on pillars(not that rare happend afew times), its like leading you to go inside the pillar to dig, > i think you would need only 1 yard and use the survey spell and get the fragment but pillar is in front of you so well you cant... This is even more irritating since you fly alot to actually get to the site and then you just cant survey it. Hope this help you out with fixing arch soon!
