MUSSAD Quote marks are all single quote marks, not sure what he used in the original one, will need to check

Helen's unsolicited advice (shocker):

Double quotation marks for direct quotations
Single quotation marks for coming phrases
Nested structures requiring the above to use doublea on the outside and singles on the inside to denote clearly where the entire quotation finishes

Example (s):

X, Y and Z (2018) stated that "Obtained results might have been affected by a state of 'brain fog' described by several of the participants"
