Thanks so much for the careful read. (I was actually wishing for some good copyediting because I am bad at reading my own writing and seeing the mistakes in it.) If nothing else it's nice to know that at least one person will have read the docs. ;- )
Read it too! I will ask Lisa Miller if we can have a link to the documentation from the official nsls2 webpage.

Here's a solid start on a collection of end-to-end examples involving the entire data collection stack. It covers a mix of broad, basic topics and niche applications that have recently come up. Please contribute your hacks / rants / recipes.
I already pushed them to http://nsls-ii.github.io/examples/index.html. It might be easier to review them there. Revisions are welcome -- I just want this available for reference on Monday.
