Use Case 1

UC1: 1) Sabrina, a student in Lines group, purchases some Ni powder from a vendor. 2) Sabrina makes it into a sample for XPD by filling a 1mm ID kapton capillary. 3) Sabrina measures it at XPD 4) Sabrina makes a sample from her Ni for ISS by making layers of kapton tape and sprinkling Ni in it mixed with a dilutant (or sthg) 5) Sabrina measures XANES and XAFS at the Ni edge 6) Sabrina finds the Uids for these datasets by searching in NSLSII databases 7) Sabrina pipes the results of this search into a provenance pipeline to get analyzed data in another db 8) Sabrina does this 4 times using 4 different analysis schemes and parameter sets. 9) Line does a search for all the analyzed data from her group since the beginning of the provenance epoch

Question: is there a link between sample schema and data (Sabrina's work) to Bluesky? Should we develop another workflow where this takes place?

Metadata from the spreadsheet is automatically loaded into Bluesky when a sample is run. In answer to Line's question, to link this UC to Bluesky we simply need an adaptor that pulls the metadata from the sampleDB into xpdui instead of from the spreadsheet.

This should be its own issue/feature request though as it requires some discussion. I will post it in a separate issue.
