ATV3 survey #101

I have read all the comments here and it seems to me a lot of people who were successful used ATV 3. Can people say which ATV 3 they used. I want to get one, since my ATV2 is without success and not one responds to my question. Thanks a lot.

Try this

  1. Restore ATV2 to 5.3
  2. Put ATV2 in DFU
  3. Connect to blackb0x
  4. Jailbreak
  5. Unplug and connect to network + TV

I followed your instructions here. The last time I tried to do this, I spent an entire day, no luck.

Today, I got two ATV2 done in under a half hour.

I hope Internet Archive scans this your most valuable project and save it for enternity. It should be done. Wow, man, this is great. Not a single issue, folllowing your directions here. Wow. I'm more than impressed. You're, a genius!

Imagine the hundreds of thousands of ATV2/3 out there that you are keeping from being trashed, creating more electronic waste. You are a value to planet Earth for this. For me in addition to above process when its not proceeding, holding down menu and play button for about 7 sec will run the jailbraek. But If no repos then what's the benefit of all this effort. I was able to jailbreak it succefuly but yes no repos for Kodi, hope we may add those soon.

My ATV 3,2 won't reboot after jailbreak. not sure what the fix is. I tried this but I can't downgrade to firmware 5.3 since it's unsigned. any help would be much appreciated :)

how about added apps it showing or not, i also have atv2 but apps added not showing after jailbreak
