You can’t open the application “Blackb0x” because it may be damaged or incomplete. #122

I downloaded latest version (0.6.2) & unzipped. While trying to launch the App, i get this error - You can’t open the application “Blackb0x” because it may be damaged or incomplete. I have downloaded multuiple times (also on different browsers), also tried with previous version but keep getting the same error. Since it unzips fine, I don't think the file is incomplete. I am using MacOS Monterey.

Any suggestions?

you have to right click on the unzipped file for it to open!

i did this and still doesn't let me open it due to the same message. i also tried opening it through security and privacy in settings and doesn't allow me to open it

I had the same issue until I turned off my Biitdefender. Then when I tried to launch it, I had to right click on the app and select run.

Ran into the same issue. So after you download it, instead of double clicking on the .zip file to extract it, you have to right click then go to "Open with" click on Archive Utility. That will extract it correctly. Then it will give you the icon to right click and open. I did have to approve it through Security and Privacy. Once I did that then it ran fine.

Hello All. I'm facing the same issue. Already tried to include Blackb0x app into "Privacy & Security" > "Developer Tools", but even clicking on "+" sign and selecting the app, it didn't add it to the list and the issue still happen.

I'm running Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1 pm a A[[;e M1 Max.

Please help.
