Hi, I don't have mac so, I'm using Mac OS Big Sur on Virtual box and I have tried many times still it shows failed to exploit device. help plz!!!

Same situation as ksnwebapps, using virtual box. Please fix

it fails because of how the virtual machine handles USB connections, it will always connect to the host computer first then the virtual machine. you need a direct connection with the computer so you will require either a real mac or a hackintosh.

What is the tvOS on your Apple TV gen 3? Does the tool still work with the new release iOS 8.4.7 (12H1006) for Apple TV 3 (2013) on 14th March 2022? AppleTV3,2_8.4.3_12H1006_Restore.ipsw

As far as i'm aware I used the same firmware as you; though I am unsure as I moved so it's packed in a box somewhere. Though i'm confident that it works with that firmware.

if you're experiencing issues there's always 12H937 or 12H606 that you can downgrade to as it's still signed.

Remember; Virtual machines are not always a great solution as it will most likely fail.

So, i managed to run on a real mac, and everything worked! BUT the problem seems to be with the appleTV3 and KODI where i cant get it to update. it says the script failed, and that was the end of the line for me. I couldn't find any solution to that and Maybe if you guys did it i'll be very happy to find out!
