ran into the same problem, interpreted the steps incorrectly and unplugged the microusb for the hdmi cable. now if i open blackb0x, it crashes upon start with a "detected buffer overflow" error in the logs. any chance of recovering from this?

Try Restoring The apple tv Firmware though finder or itunes and then try re-jailbreaking - I had the same problem and that's what fixed it for me
Get a smaller cables, is the only advice I can offer. Though the majority of them do not want to play nicely together with their bulky casing.
