Occupancy Schedules for MFH

As we have talked about in our previous check-ins, I tried to compile alternative occupancy schedules that we might use in the MFH archetypes. I tried to look for widely used sources published/released/presented by various established institutions/communities/software companies for data reliability. Below, I compared the existing occupancy schedule with its alternatives. According to your preferences, we can decide on which one to proceed with. I am also attaching the source Excel file at the end of the post.

I could not manage to embed an interactive image here but below you may find the link for its interactive version which is filterable:

Lighting Schedules for MFH

In BuildME, there were a total of four lighting schedules; but we are using three of them:

There is also one (S-Lighting-day) not used, so it can be deleted for simplicity. The interior ones differ in whether they are hardwired or plugin lighting while exterior ones changing according to space (garage or corridor).

I am not sure if we need two separate lighting schedules for the interior because I believe they are operating similarly. Below, you may find the comparison image.

Based on our consensus, ISO schedules were applied to lighting and occupancy schedules. @kamilitsa added a commit including the new changes in this issue.

Lighting Schedules: According to the ISO reference, lighting schedules for interior spaces and their lighting intensities (W/m2) were changed. I realized that in the RT archetype, the W/m2 values were almost 4 times lower to my knowledge, so maybe they have entered the values according to W/ft2 but I am not completely sure. According to ISO, W/m2 should be 8 for living spaces and 12 for offices. I distributed that amount as 6 W/m2 for hardwired and 2 W/m2 for plugin lighting for all archetypes. In terms of lighting schedules, office and living zones’ operations are adjusted to ISO accordingly.

Occupancy Schedules: Occupancy schedules for living and office zones are changed for all archetypes according to the ISO. • ISO: Ahmed, K., Akhondzada, A., Kurnitski, J., & Olesen, B. W. (2017).
