I have tested RTX Remix 0.4.0 on Dungeon Lords again. It's much better now, but still unusable.

I'll send a video of how it looks like in-game here : Dungeon Lords 2024.01.25 - 18.23.14.01.webm

Here are the logs: d3d9.log dlords_d3d9.log NvRemixBridge.log

Hello! Will you please test this on the latest release and let us know if the issues from January persist? Thank you!

BSoD38 commented 4 months ago

Hello, I have tried using the latest 0.5.0 release, and the issue is pretty much the same. The rendering of the characters seems to have changed a little, but it's still unusable as-is. I have also noticed that the character creation screen is completely black, apart from the 3D character preview that shakes wildly across the screen.

Thank you for checking! This may be a rendering bug; it also may be an issue with setup. If you haven't already, we recommend checking in with the community on Discord to see if other members know how to address these issues - the runtime-help channel would be a good place to start. If you can help rule out setup problems, that would make it easier for us to investigate any possible rendering bugs. Thanks!

@BSoD38 sorry to hijack this thread, but I would really like to ask you if you have some magic way to make Dungeon Lords run on win11 or win10? my email is if you'd prefer to take this to DM.

Really love the game but the best I was able to do is to install it on a win7 VM and port the installed version on my old PC with win10 where it launched. But there was no GPU in VM so the game runs off of CPU and only supports 800x600

Hi! I didn't do anything special: I installed the game from the official DVD, and just ran the .exe, and it runs fine. The only change I made is hex edit the exe file to replace the 1600x1200 resolution to 2560x1440.

I tried both the original 1.4 version, and the collector's 1.5C version, and both worked perfectly fine. I even played in co-op online with a friend and both versions worked without issues after I set up port forwarding on my router.

@BSoD38 thanks a lot for the response! You helped me to better understand the issue. I now realised that the installer wouldn't copy all the files for some reason on newer windows versions. Additionally, to change the resolution I had to also lower the desktop resolution beforehand - else it wouldn't work

EDIT: I would also appreciate if you could edit my email address out of your response as it's no longer necessary 🙏

@BSoD38 - have you been able to re-check game setup to rule that out as an issue here?
