Wild megaloe rearing round 2: 08 July 2021

We will do another round of zoea rearing for Ca content analysis development. These will be from krill by catch or from Swimonish light traps

• [x] 1. Create data sheet
• [x] 2. Collect zoea from swimonish
• [x] 3. Transport to Montlke (coolers, icepack bubbler)
• [x] 5. Separate by rough morphology
• [x] 4. Rough count of meg
• [x] 5. Decide how to partition Preserve some of the zoean on the first night in EtOH and some at -80; some zoea into well plates

(No Zoea Collected- Shifted Study to Megalopae)

• [x] 6. Sort zoea in well plates (1 per plate) separate out by rough morphology (12 well plates?)
• [x] 7. Record description of zoea in well
• [x] 8. Take picture of zoea in each well (optional if not enough time)
• [x] 9. Feed Artemia/ water change (twice per week e.g. Tues/Friday or Mon/Friday)
• [x] 10. Check for molts every day for 2 weeks (weekends excluded)
• [x] 11. Preserve some molts in EtOH and some in -80- separate jars by morphological group
• [x] 12. Max rearing is ~2 weeks
• [x] make sure samples in same freezer
