1 year ago Held/wet measurements are captured multiple times per groundwater measurement because:
- Water level can be varying within well
- Steel tape typically used where there are/were pumps (i.e. varying water level)
- Electric tape used in wells without pump (i.e. static water level)
- Therefore, it is the type of well that determines whether we need multiple measurements, not the type of measurement; the two just happen to be correlated
- Takes time to insert/remove tape
- Therefore water can change while measurement is happening
- So need to do multiple measurements to ensure that water level is static
Cardinality FOR STEEL TAPE:
- At least two measurements
- Possibly more
CARDINALITY FOR OTHERS:
- AT LEAST ONE
- POSSIBLY MORE
RE: CARDINALITY, EACH "ATTEMPT" IS A WHOLE SEPARATE GROUNDWATER MEASUREMENT. DON'T CREATE NEW RELATED TABLE; JUST MORE ROWS IN EXISTING GROUNDWATERMEASUREMENT.
