Thanks for the translation. Before getting the nice images from LEGO designers I also was thinking of a german version and included the localized code. When inlcuding the images I realized that mixing english with german texts was not a good idea so I removed the german texts. One solution to the problem would be to get german images or to draw the german texts into the bubbles of the images.
I have copied the images tutorial_01-05 and put them into a folder drawable-de. It works fine for me. I did not copy ic_splash_tutorial.png. If you plan to do that, make sure you name the folders drawable-de-hdpi (NOT drawable-hdpi-de!!!).
I use a local German Version of MINDdroid, as our children and their friends (6 to 10 years old) unfortunately are not speaking English that well, yet.
Unfortunately MINDdroid is now 4.79 MB large (EN, DE). This means the app needs to be moved from phone to SD card manually by users, as most devices are running out of phone memory soon.
It would be fine to reduce the image size before creating local versions.
To overlay the texts on top of the images is possible but might be difficult if the App runs on Android pads or Google TV. Regarding manual effort for editing pictures and regarding total size (MB) of the app it seems to be worth investigating in the overlay solution.
Besides, why does Github not offer attachments for comments and issues?
