10 years ago aaand we can probably remove spambot now that we've run it against the 2k users on site.
It doesn't do a very good job protecting the user reg form, IMX, and is mostly useful just for this kind of one time operation.
Going forward however we will need an antispambot solution.
We need to remove all the fake spambot users from the site.
In order to prevent accidentally submitting any spambot users to UN security (we're hosting a security summit for them, so it would be pretty embarrassing to ask them to print badges for zxlkzlzlskwlx or yo.ma.ma@evil.ha.ckr.ru) we should consider doing this now.
I suggest installing and running Spambot (http://dgo.to/spambot). If we run this overnight, it should be able to delete most if not all of the phony users off the site.
