[Talk Proposal] How I stopped getting parking fines with Ruby #92

Abstract : In Paris, were I live, when you're resident in a neighborhood you have access to a prefered parking rate to park your car in the street. Its very cheap but the point is that you can not take a ticket for more than 6 days and you can not take a ticket on the app if you have a ticket already running so it is very likely that you often miss to renew your ticket and have a 50€ fine. At some point i get very upset to pay all this fines so i decided to build a Ruby robot that will renew my tickets for me and totally erase the risk of having a fine. I would be glad to show you steps i followed, from the first very straight forward version (script) to the second and more efficient one (script, gem created). Working on rails every day, it was super cool to get back to pure Ruby, we often forgot that is definitely more ruby than there is rails. Of course, from my two years only Rubyist journey, there might be many things that you'd have done differently so i would be glad to discuss this with you aswell.

Bio : After working many years in the accounting sector where i did a lot of boring stuff but had the opportunity to automatise a lot of things i decided to learn to code two years ago to go one step further on this (automation things). And it was the best decision i ever made. Finished the bootcamp a little less than two years ago and never stopped coding since then. Always working on new ideas, hitting rails new at least once a month I like to share and meet people that work it the sector.
