I cancelled my other entry because I was bored with it and started working on another one a few weeks back that had to do with stamp collecting; I've been posting some erstwhile results from my StyleGAN implementation on Twitter, but I'm not going to make it this year by the prescribed deadline. Consider this, however, my attempt at a grubstake -- a chance to get on the books before the official close of the month in order to feel somewhat better about myself. (It worked.)
My final product (posted in the next couple days once the current training cycle finishes) is a faux stamp collection. I became interested in the ways in which stamps tell narrative -- one with much more variety than traditional currency, simply because of shee quantity: there are so many stamps! I collected something like 14000+ for my dataset and am currently finishing at least a week or so worth of training.
So, as usual, a day late and (more than) a dollar short. Or maybe like, 58 cents.
