Generate a novel out of my favorite quotes from books

For my very first NaMoGenMo participation, I'd like to remix a novel out of my favorite quotes from books. I'm planning to run some linguistic analysis over these quotes and do algorithmic replacements (e. g. exchange named entities, generate synonyms or hyperonyms) to generate variations of the base material.

A little bit of progress ot be reported:

• The repo for my novel generator is https://github.com/sermo-de-arboribus/2022-NaNoGenMo
• Split my private quote collection into two separated files: One with quotes that I believe to be in the public domain, one with quotes that I believe to be still copyrighted - at least in the EU where is reside. The public domain quotes are checked in into my repo (cf. https://github.com/sermo-de-arboribus/2022-NaNoGenMo/blob/main/src/main/resources/public-domain-quotes.xml), the copyrighted stuff I will keep to myself, though I might use the copyrighted stuff, too, depending on how many changes my intended "algorithmic replacement" will apply to that source material - if replacements are substantial enough, I will consider the results to be free from the source material's copyright, or at least consider the results to apply to the fair use clause.
• Wrote and generated some code to translate my XML source files into Java code ("unmarshalling").

Progress is slow and code getting very messy, but my word replacement engine is producing some interesting variations of the source material by now. Here are some examples:

Today was my last day in November that allowed me to spend some time on NaNoGenMo, so I consider my contribution finished now. It can generate English and German novels. The German output is often not grammatically correct, further work is needed in this area. I'll attach an example of each here:
