Currently the CP2102N is powered by the 3.3V rail of the Compute Module 4. This causes the CP2102N to reset when the board is rebooted, and hence the serial terminal to disappear for a short period.
Thomas suggest to change to footprint to parts with better pricing/availability, either CP2102N-A02-GQFN20 or CP2102N-A02-GQFN28. The former is slightly cheaper.
