Found that ticket in the 3.1 milestone list.
I think, while it might be a good idea in 2019, we need it more in winget rather than Chocolatey.
winget is a far smaller repository of software than Chocolatey is. I don't see why it cant be on both in all honesty. Enterprise windows users need consistency of installation & upgrade as much as linux users get with their repo's.
You can't force org's to change their deployment methods just because you think one is now somehow 'outdated' or less important.
Beside the fact that I think you should drink water, I believe Winget has a future. But, still beside you really should drink water, yes you are right they can be on both of course for the larger audience.
Please could you add NCPA to chocolatey, the windows package manager - https://chocolatey.org/
This would make deploying on windows environments a breeze!!
*chocolatey for those that dont know is a windows equivilent to linux yum, dnf, apt etc
