Source/repository is too big #527

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Begin a clean checkout of the repository;
2. Have a holiday somewhere for a week;
3. Come home and make a cup of coffee;
4. Write a book;
5. Start coding using Core Plot

Jokes aside, including the composed docsets and documentation in the source
archive is making getting a copy of the source for inclusion in my projects an
arduous task. Is there any reason these couldn't be split into separate
repositories, or offered as downloads elsewhere?

We wanted a way to have the HTML docs online and linked to the version tags in
the source code. I'm open to suggestions on how to best split the repository
and still keep the versions in sync without too much maintenance overhead.

This task was completed as part of the move to GitHub at
https://github.com/core-plot

The Google Code repository has been split into two pieces—one with the HTML
docs and another with everything else (source code, example apps, scripts,
etc.).
