vignettes: can they be simplified / improved? #168

Make them great and incredibly easy to read / run.

[ ] add simulated IF data (don't just simulate it within the vignette)
[ ] bigger section headers
[x] make cluster profiles heatmaps smaller / less dominating (or delete them)
