We connect the microcontroller and the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module component as follows: Device Schematics
We have not used the OV7670 Camera Module yet.
Software wise:
Software on the embedded side (STM32CubeIDE):
Accomplishment:
We succeeded to get the London weather forecast by sending an HTTP message from the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module component to the home router !
We used this video: ESP8266 Tutorial AT Commands
the instructor in the video tutorial used UART-USB cable, so we had to adapt the video to us and to the equipment we have.
Notes:
We omitted theAT + RSTcommand because the output of the command was a sequence of assembly commands (explanation here)
The output we received as a result of theAT + RSTcommand is a common result:
As a result of dropping theAT + RSTthe module sometimes gets stuck.
Following our instructor recommendation, we will not waste time fixing this case. Only if we have time left we will add logic in case the module device gets stuck.
To be done:
Following our instructor recommendation, we will now work to communicate with firebase.
