The offer report has been submitted (see link below).
After consulting a person with some experience regarding applications built for embedded software we came to the conclusion that it would be best to use Angular and Firebase.
We have gotten permission to get additional support and have decided to wait for a time with greater need.
We have created a sequence diagram for each use-case the system has in order to break down the thing we don't know.
The event queue is almost done. It needs to be tested.
The rest of the project equipment (sensors, cameras, and the replaced STM board) is supposed to arrive by 27/12/2020.
Issues/Risks
While doing the sequence diagram we realized we have no knowledge of how the system will connect with the backend (Firebase/Database) either than the fact that it will be done using the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module.
Our greatest challenge will be to complete the different tasks on time as there are three plains we must cover simultaneously.
The Three Plains
Leaning to work with the IDE and STM
Building the application
Dealing with Wi-Fi communication.
Our Goal
We have decided that our goal for the prototype is:
Sensing movement and responding via SMS to owner and contacts
Enabling system to be switched on/off via the app
Enabling contacts via the app - login will be allowed via admin (us)
TBD
Test event queue
Create App screens
Start creating the first functionality using a button instead of a sensor as it has not yet arrived.
