DarkTube v4 #5

I see that you are working now on DarkTube v4 and version 3 is deleted from the UserStyles.org. I have couple questions:

  1. Are you working now with SCSS? Because I saw it in .gitignore file. It would be nice if you push all files here. We could work on this together. It would be better and faster I think 😀
  2. New style is now brighter than it was in the previous version. Could it be darker in default?
  3. Could you paste full code with Mozilla Formats tags like it is on the DarkSearch project?

Yep working with Sass now.

I'll push all files yes. We can change the background by changing only 1 variable. Much faster and easier!

OK nice, I really need help in settings. Every pages in settings / analytics / video upload etc.

I'm working on the main pages atm (home, playlist, search etc).

For white Elements (#fff) on YouTube, use the variable " $bg ", you don't need to think on what colour could be good, just :-> $bg.

$gray-lighten-5: #fafafa; // #000
$gray-lighten-4: #f5f5f5; // #111
$gray-lighten-3: #eee; // #222

This is too bright imo. But good idea man!

@Nass-O No problem. I give ony an idea and I give you a free rein ;)

On my own projects when I make darken style, to find perfect colors (for me) I'm using filter: invert. For example in this project filter: invert(0.9) converts #fff to #1a1a1a and this is perfect backgorund color - $bg

this way #000 could be #e6e6e6

111 -> #d8d8d8

222 -> #cacaca

333 -> #bdbdbd ... now it is called $gray-base

444 ->#afafaf

555 -> #a2a2a2

so the variables could look like this:

$gray-lighten-5: #e6e6e6; // #000
$gray-lighten-4: #d8d8d8; // #111
$gray-lighten-3: #cacaca; // #222
$gray-lighten-2: #bdbdbd; // #333
$gray-lighten-1: #afafaf; // #444
$gray-lighten: #a2a2a2; // #555

but I'm not sure that easier to use would be something like this:

$c-000: #e6e6e6; // #000
$c-111: #d8d8d8; // #111
$c-222: #cacaca; // #222
$c-333: #bdbdbd; // #333
$c-444: #afafaf; // #444
$c-555: #a2a2a2; // #555

DarkTube style is really great. Thanks for the great work. Will v4 be available in UserStyles.org again soon?

YouTube is releasing a new design (material design) with a Dark mode inside. Darktube won't come back sorry

If DarkTube 4 won't be a thing, are you able to reupload DarkTube 3 onto UserStyles.org? I am having a lot of trouble doing the customisations the website allowed...

I don't get why you still want DarkTube since new YouTube version has dark mode

Well, it's simple. Me and many others hate the new YouTube and still use the old one
